ABOUT
Hi All,
I have been allowed to be many things but, I have always been an artist. I have pursued this through music for as long as I can remember. Music has allowed me to grow in so many ways, meet many people, serve children from abusive backgrounds, study in colleges and Universities, such as Cal State Northridge. In High School I played in Culver City jazz band (the school that I was enrolled in) and also played in the Beverly Hills and Hamilton High bands as a guest performer (aka ‘a ringer’). The latter two schools are very different from one another. Diversity can’t just be an L.A. thing I think.
My first independent recording was released on vinyl because that’s what there was before CDs. We got in our vans and played up and down the West Coast meeting kind people and selling the records on-site. I also had a publishing thing with Mike Post at the same time.
Independent artistry, building studios along with mixing and editing sound became the norm for me until I ended up at Hathaway Children’s Village in Lake View Terrace. Here, there was even more to do. Kids at risk who were dealing with parents that could not keep or care for them, they also found themselves involved in a system that was less than perfect. however, they could find comfort and growth in coming together to do music. What a difference that makes. Music I mean.
